POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
The following rules and regulations have been established for the convenience, health, and safety of the membership, and for the protection of Club property. We ask the full cooperation of the entire membership, both parents and children, in abiding by them.
GUESTS
Guests can visit the pool with members for $10/day. Each guest is allowed 4 visits for the season. If a guest would like to join after the 4th visit, the previous guest fees will be credited towards the membership fee (not applicable to rider add-ons).
Military Deal: Fort Lee Active Duty Families can visit our pool for $7/day without being a guest of a member.
The following rules and regulations have been established for the convenience, health, and safety of the membership, and for the protection of Club property. We ask the full cooperation of the entire membership, both parents and children, in abiding by them.
- Annual dues must be paid in full before any privileges are allowed at the Club.
- All persons using the pool do so at their own risk.
- Parents of small children must supervise and monitor the child at all times. Do not leave small children unattended at any time in the pool or on Club property, no exceptions.
- No one shall be permitted in deep water until they have demonstrated satisfactory swimming ability to the managers and/or a lifeguard. Children using any flotation device are not allowed on the diving board or in deep water, no exceptions.
- Children under thirteen (13) years of age are not permitted on pool grounds unless accompanied by a parent or other responsible pool member, 18 years of age or older. The only exception will be in the case of a permanent babysitter when the parent(s) are working, through a written letter by the parent(s) to the Pool managers or Board of Directors for approval.
- The wading pool is to be used only by small children. An adult must supervise children in the wading pool at all times. Infants must wear waterproof pants.
- Swimmers must wear proper attire at all times. Bermuda shorts, underwear, cut-off pants or other unsuitable attire is not permitted in the pool.
- Proper sanitation must be observed at all times.
- Large floats, balls, face masks, or other paraphernalia will not be permitted in the pool when considered a safety hazard by the Managers or a lifeguard.
- Glass objects are not allowed on Club property.
- Animals are not permitted on Club property.
- The Club will not be responsible for articles left or stolen at the pool.
- In case of inclement weather, the Pool Managers may close the pool at any time for the health and safety of the members.
- Food or beverages are not allowed in the water at any time.
- Chewing gum is not allowed in the pool area.
- No smoking except in the designated smoking area. "Smoking" means the carrying or holding of any lighted pipe, cigar, or cigarette of any kind, or any other lighted smoking equipment, or the lighting, inhaling, or exhaling of smoke or vapor from a pipe, cigar, or cigarette of any kind.
- Only one person allowed on the diving board at a time. No diving from the side of the diving board.
- Running, horseplay, boisterous and rowdy behavior or any other unsafe actions will not be permitted. This includes the use of profanity and abusive language of any kind.
- Each member is personally responsible for the actions of any guest they bring to the pool and assumes responsibility for any violation of the rules by their guest.
- The Pool Managers will handle cases of misconduct. Lifeguards are in charge of the pool while they are on the stand. Do not talk to the lifeguards while they are on duty.
- The Board of Directors may suspend or expel Club privileges for any misconduct endangering the good order, welfare or character of the Club.
- All complaints with reference to the management of the Club, Board Members, or its employees shall be made in writing to the Secretary of the Club and sent to the club email ([email protected]). Alternatively, the complaint can be mailed to P.O. Box 21 in Hopewell.
- Designated areas inclusive of the Guard Shack, Snack Bar,Storage Rooms, and other areas marked as such are restricted to Staff and Board Member entry only.
- Members and guests of members are only permitted on Club property during posted Club hours.
- The Club hosts private functions and swim team activities during non-Club hours. Access during those times is restricted to only those groups and are not open to members.
- Wood-Dale is a Private Club with a family friendly atmosphere Alcohol is permitted on Club grounds but is expected to be consumed responsibly in accordance with our standards of conduct. While alcohol is permitted, Glass Bottles of any kind are not permitted on the property. If Pool Management observes inappropriate or unruly intoxicated behavior by a member or guest, they will be asked to leave the property immediately. The Club has a zero tolerance policy for behavior that is disruptive to our membership and family friendly atmosphere. Issues of misconduct will be dealt with as deemed appropriate by management and the Board of Directors and per the Club’s bylaws. Any member not following rules will be addressed by Pool Management. If the issues continue, the member will be required to meet with the Board to review misconduct. The Board will determine actions deemed necessary to membership per the Club’s by laws.
- Swim Team Practice Rules will be upheld and observed by members of the Club and Swim Team. Conduct issues that arise during practices will be dealt with by the Swim Team Committee. Any issues that the committee is unable to resolve will be brought for to the Club’s Board of Directors.
